Exploring Life in a Biome
(Ages 9-12 years) Just what is a biome?? Through games, activities and crafts the youth will learn the answer to this question, as well as explore the diversity od global habitats and the animals that call those places their homes, We'll visit the endangered animals that live in the Polar Regions, as well as those that live in the great oceans and create a giant mural of our findings that we will display in our Visitor's Center! So bring your artistic ability with you (but not your electronic toys!) and plan on sharing an awesome outdoor experience! The Big Cranky
You've seen them-still as a statue until, with lightning speed, they capture and swallow it whole. PA's Great Blue Heron stands 4' tall and has a wingspan of 6'. Meet at the Visitor Center with your vehicle to travel 7 miles to visit a local heronry and catch sight of them. Bring binoculars (or borrow ours). *Np dogs please.
