Held the Saturday of President's Day weekend, gates open 7:00am, at Camp Brule', off Rt. 154 North of Forksville. An exciting activity is the Polar Bear Plunge, participants jump into a hole cut in the ice of the lake. One of the plungers will win a trip for two to the Bahamas. Pledge sheets are available online at sckiwanis.com This is an outdoor family event with indoor & outdoor vendors. Enjoy watching ice carvers, sled dog races on the lake and a Human dog sled race, ice conditions permitting. An ice fishing tournament will start at 7:00 a.m. If there is no snow or ice we will improvise. Register for all events at Pancost Hall and please dress warm so you will be comfortable outdoors. In Pancost Hall you will also find art, handmade items, and displays. Sullivan County Council on the Arts will hold a Clothesline Art Show. Children can make a picture and hang it on the clothesline to be judged. The Kiwanis Club kitchen will serve breakfast, and lunch with hot food all day. Fireworks at dusk. This event is a two hour competition that features approximately 11 classes of horses pulling sleighs, as well as the popular Currier and Ives class. Prospective competitors may call 570-924-3574 for additional information. Spectators are welcomed.
